A grand and dignified ceremony was organized in Brasília under the auspices of the Embassy of Pakistan in Brasília to commemorate the first anniversary of the “Marka-e-Haq.” The event brought together a large number of overseas Pakistanis, community leaders, businessmen, students, and members of the diplomatic community residing in Brazil.Pakistan’s Ambassador to Brazil Murad Ashraf Janjua, Defence Attaché Brigadier Tariq Naeem Athar, embassy officials, and President of the Pakistani Community Zulfiqar Ahmad Maxi attended the ceremony along with prominent members of the Pakistani diaspora.
The ceremony began with the recitation of the Holy Quran followed by the national anthem of Pakistan. Speakers highlighted the historical importance of the “Battle for Truth,” Pakistan’s defence achievements, national unity, and the sacrifices rendered by the martyrs. They emphasized that the Pakistani nation has always demonstrated courage, resilience, and unity during challenging times.Addressing the gathering, Ambassador Murad Ashraf Janjua said that overseas Pakistanis serve as true ambassadors of the country by promoting Pakistan’s positive image through their hard work, achievements, and dedication. He noted that such national events help strengthen the connection of overseas Pakistanis with their homeland, culture, and national values.
Defence Attaché Brigadier Tariq Naeem Athar paid tribute to the martyrs and said that Pakistan’s armed forces have always safeguarded the country in accordance with the aspirations of the nation.Speaking on the occasion, Zulfiqar Ahmad Maxi said that Pakistanis living in Brazil always stand united with their homeland on every national occasion and continue to actively participate in events organized in collaboration with the embassy.
National songs were presented during the ceremony, while participants raised enthusiastic slogans of “Pakistan Zindabad.” Special prayers were also offered for Pakistan’s peace, stability, progress, and prosperity.The event concluded in a patriotic and enthusiastic atmosphere, followed by a dinner reception where members of the community renewed their commitment to promoting unity and strengthening ties with Pakistan.
