LCCI, Nepal Ambassador Discuss Boosting Trade and Business Ties

LAHORE: Ambassador of Nepal to Pakistan, H.E. Ms. Rita Dhital, visited the Lahore Chamber of Commerce & Industry (LCCI) and held a meeting with LCCI President Faheem Ur Rehman Saigol to explore ways to strengthen bilateral trade and economic relations between Pakistan and Nepal.The meeting was attended by LCCI Executive Committee Members Firdous Nisar, Abdul Majeed, Imran Saleemi and Nadeem Ansari, along with Mujahid Ur Rehman, Hamid Ullah Khan and other representatives of the business community.

Speaking on the occasion, LCCI President Faheem Ur Rehman Saigol expressed heartfelt condolences over the loss of precious lives in the recent flash floods in Nepal. He said the people of Pakistan stand in solidarity with the affected families and the people of Nepal during this difficult time.Saigol stressed the need to enhance bilateral trade and promote stronger business-to-business (B2B) linkages between Pakistan and Nepal. He said increased interaction between the business communities of the two countries could help identify new opportunities and open avenues for mutually beneficial economic cooperation.

Ambassador Rita Dhital emphasized the importance of exchanging B2B business delegations to promote trade and investment opportunities. She also proposed organizing single-country exhibitions and establishing direct air connectivity between Pakistan and Nepal to facilitate business, trade and investment ties.Both sides expressed their commitment to strengthening economic cooperation and fostering closer relations between the business communities of Pakistan and Nepal.
