Quetta: Syed Aman Shah, Provincial President of Awaam Pakistan Party Balochistan, stated that Pakistan is facing extremely serious economic challenges that require comprehensive, long-term, and people-centric economic policies rather than temporary measures.He said that soaring inflation, rising unemployment, increasing public debt, declining industrial and commercial activity, and the lack of investment have severely affected the lives of ordinary citizens. He emphasized that the government must restore the national economy by taking all political and economic stakeholders into confidence and formulating policies that provide genuine relief to the people.He further stated that Pakistan’s economy can be placed on a strong and sustainable footing by giving special attention to the agriculture, industry, minerals, energy, and export sectors.Syed Aman Shah noted that Balochistan is richly endowed with natural resources; however, due to inadequate planning and insufficient investment, its people continue to be deprived of basic facilities.
He said that if the province’s resources are utilized in a transparent and equitable manner, they can significantly improve not only Balochistan’s economy but also the overall economic condition of the country.He stressed that providing support and incentives to small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs), traders, and industrialists is the need of the hour to generate employment opportunities and ensure dignified livelihoods for the youth.He also called for a simpler, more transparent, and fair taxation system to restore the confidence of the business community and encourage greater investment.Syed Aman Shah concluded that economic stability is the foundation of national stability.
Therefore, all political parties, the business community, and relevant institutions must rise above political and personal differences and work collectively for the betterment of the national economy.He expressed hope that through prudent decision-making, transparent governance, and people-oriented policies, Pakistan can overcome its economic challenges and move towards sustainable growth and prosperity.
