Islamabad: Social and cultural circles have welcomed what is being seen as a major boost for Pakistan’s film industry. The big-budget, star-studded film “Psycho” is set for a simultaneous worldwide release on Eid-ul-Adha, including Pakistan and other major international markets.
The film is produced by renowned Pakistani-American Salman Butt and directed by legendary actor and filmmaker Shaan Shahid. Popular actress Meera will be seen in the lead female role, marking her much-anticipated return to the big screen.“Psycho” has already gained significant international attention. It received prominent coverage in U.S. media, while a special article written by noted journalist Farooq Mirza about the film was published in 435 American newspapers—an achievement considered exceptional for Pakistani cinema.
According to producer Salman Butt, the vision behind the project is to introduce Pakistani cinema on a global platform.
