SHANGLA:Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) has appointed veteran party leader and former Member of the Provincial Assembly (MPA), Shaukat Ali Yousafzai, as the Provincial Information Secretary of PTI Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, according to an official notification issued by the party leadership.Shaukat Yousafzai is regarded as one of the founding and ideological leaders of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf and has remained closely associated with PTI founder Imran Khan since the party’s early years.
Over the past several decades, he has played an active role in the party’s political, organizational and public affairs activities and is considered among the most experienced figures within the party ranks.Political observers note that Yousafzai has consistently remained at the forefront of defending the party’s stance during challenging political periods. He has represented PTI’s policies and ideology on numerous national and international media platforms, earning recognition as one of the party’s most prominent and articulate spokespersons.Throughout his political career, Shaukat Yousafzai has served twice as a provincial minister in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. During his tenure, he held several important portfolios, including Information and Health, among others. In addition, he has also served as Media Adviser to Imran Khan and as General Secretary of PTI Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, positions through which he contributed significantly to the party’s organizational structure and media outreach.The announcement of his appointment has been welcomed by PTI leaders, workers, voters and supporters across Shangla and other parts of the province.
Party members and supporters expressed their congratulations and described the decision as a positive step towards strengthening the party’s communication network and organizational effectiveness.Various political, social and public circles also welcomed the appointment, stating that Yousafzai’s political acumen, extensive experience and deep understanding of media affairs would prove beneficial for the party at a crucial time. They hoped that under his leadership, the party would further strengthen its public engagement and media strategy across the province.Some senior party figures also urged the PTI leadership to further acknowledge Yousafzai’s decades of service, experience and sacrifices for the party by entrusting him with additional key responsibilities in the future, including a significant role in any future provincial cabinet setup.PTI workers thanked both the central and provincial leadership for placing confidence in what they described as a sincere, ideological, capable and experienced leader.
