H.E. Harerimana Fatou highlights Rwanda’s investment opportunities, calls for stronger Pakistan–Rwanda business and trade cooperation
ISLAMABAD: H.E. Harerimana Fatou, High Commissioner of the Republic of Rwanda to Pakistan, visited the FPCCI President Secretariat in Islamabad, where she held a productive meeting with the President of the Federation of Pakistan Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FPCCI) to further strengthen bilateral trade and investment cooperation.
During her visit, the High Commissioner also participated, alongside the FPCCI President, in a meeting of the Central Standing Committee on Corporate and Military National Affairs, where both sides discussed new opportunities to expand economic engagement between Pakistan and Rwanda.The FPCCI President emphasized the importance of further enhancing trade and business relations between the two friendly countries, describing Rwanda as an important pillar of Pakistan’s Look Africa Policy. He stressed the need for stronger collaboration between the private sectors of both nations to unlock new avenues for trade, investment, and economic growth.
Praising Rwanda’s extraordinary progress over the past decades, the FPCCI President described the country’s remarkable development across various sectors as a model of success and a testament to the visionary leadership of Rwanda. He noted that Rwanda’s transformation offers valuable lessons for developing economies.He further underscored the importance of creating a more business-friendly environment by facilitating investment, simplifying trade procedures, and encouraging regular exchanges of business delegations between Pakistan and Rwanda.Speaking on the occasion, High Commissioner H.E. Harerimana Fatou invited Pakistan’s business community to explore the vast investment opportunities available in Rwanda. She highlighted the country’s investor-friendly policies, modern infrastructure, transparent regulatory framework, and strategic location as a gateway to African markets.
The High Commissioner also briefed the business community on the initiatives undertaken to promote bilateral trade and strengthen commercial ties between Rwanda and Pakistan. She reaffirmed Rwanda’s commitment to expanding economic cooperation and welcomed greater engagement from Pakistani entrepreneurs and investors.The meeting concluded with both sides expressing confidence that closer collaboration between the business communities of Pakistan and Rwanda would pave the way for stronger trade, increased investment, and a long-term mutually beneficial partnership.
