Steps Soon for Welfare of Radio Broadcasters: Atif Khan

Mardan: Muhammad Atif Khan, President of the Peshawar Region of the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) and Member of the National Assembly, has stated that practical steps will soon be initiated for the welfare, professional development, and resolution of issues faced by radio broadcasters.

He assured that the challenges confronting this sector will be raised effectively with relevant institutions and at the government level to ensure lasting solutions.He expressed these views during an important meeting with Dr. Ali Khan, President of the Radio Broadcasters Association Mardan Division. Senator Zeeshan Khanzada was also present on the occasion. The meeting included a detailed discussion on the current state of the radio industry, professional challenges, and future strategies.

Dr. Ali Khan briefed MNA Muhammad Atif Khan and Senator Zeeshan Khanzada on the key issues faced by radio broadcasters, including job insecurity, limited resources, lack of modern technology, insufficient training opportunities, and inadequate government support. He emphasized that despite being an effective and traditional medium of communication, radio is being neglected and requires urgent revitalization and strengthening.Muhammad Atif Khan highlighted that radio is an important medium that not only provides information but also plays a vital role in raising public awareness. He assured that the issues of broadcasters will be taken up on a priority basis at relevant forums, and a comprehensive strategy will be formulated soon.

Senator Zeeshan Khanzada also noted that radio broadcasters play a significant role in disseminating information and promoting cultural heritage in the country, and their services should be duly recognized. He pledged full cooperation in addressing the challenges faced by the sector.At the conclusion of the meeting, it was reaffirmed that joint efforts will be made to protect the rights, ensure the welfare, and promote the professional development of radio broadcasters so that the sector can align with modern demands and deliver its services more effectively.
