Thailand Ambassador Highlights Opportunities to Strengthen ASEAN–Pakistan Economic RelationsISLAMABAD, September 8, 2026: Thailand’s Ambassador to Pakistan, H.E. Mr. Rongvudhi Virabutr, attended the ASEAN Day celebration marking the 59th anniversary of ASEAN at the Islamabad Chamber of Commerce & Industry (ICCI), alongside the ASEAN Committee in Islamabad (ACI).
During the event, Ambassador Virabutr interacted with members of Islamabad’s business community and shared views on the key challenges and emerging opportunities in ASEAN–Pakistan economic relations.In his remarks, the Ambassador emphasized the importance of stronger trade facilitation and improved ease of doing business in Pakistan, highlighting the need for closer engagement between businesses and greater economic cooperation between ASEAN member states and Pakistan.
The celebration provided an important platform for strengthening business-to-business contacts and exploring new avenues for trade, investment and economic partnerships between ASEAN and Pakistan.
